If you are buying a Range Rover for the first time, you will surely find it hard to choose a model due to the wide collection of cars to select from. Two of the top contending models currently are the Velar and the Sport.
Exterior
The Velar’s design is slightly different from that of the Sport, but still embodies Range Rover’s signature design. The main difference between the two SUVs is the Velar’s significantly lower roof. When it comes to dimensions, the Velar is also two inches shorter than Sport, giving the former that chop-top appearance.
Interior
The Sport is the sole model featuring a three-row seating. Meanwhile, for the Velar, the cockpit is new and there is a larger central console display. Below the display, there are more touchscreen controls, which are old-style analogs in the Sport.
Powertrain
The Velar is powered by a 3.0L V6 that cranks out 380 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to reach 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. This same engine powers the Sport under HSE trim line, but due to its heavier construction, it reaches 60 mph from zero in 6.9 seconds.
These are just some of the common differences between the Velar and the Sport. When you have finally decided on which one to purchase, visit a reputable Range Rover Dubai dealer!
